23 Weeks (Almost)

Baby Krepps seems to be getting more active as the days go by. Mike and anyone else that keeps their hand on my belly long enough can feel her kicking. The other night I could actually see my stomach moving everytime she kicked or punched.

Mike and I have made some progress over the last couple of weeks in the road to get ready for this little girl... we have a long way to go. We have finished up registering - this was fun and exciting, although it was a little overwhelming. Babies R Us is a huge store with millions of choices for millions of things that we don't even know how to use. I think we should be set since we registered for everything possible!

Here is what is going on in my belly and with the baby this week according to Babycenter.com

Your baby is more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound (about as much as a large mango). His skin is red and wrinkled. Blood vessels in his lungs are developing to prepare him for breathing. He can swallow, but he normally won't pass his first stool (called meconium) until after birth. Loud noises heard often in utero — such as your dog barking or the roar of a vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze your baby when he hears them outside the womb.

Welcome to our baby Blog!

So it will be several more months until Baby Krepps arrives but since I am new to this I am hoping to get a head start in blogging and be an expert by the time she makes her debut! Mike and I have so many family and friends that we don't get to see or talk to nearly enough so we are hoping that this is a great way for everyone to experience all of the excitement with us. Stay tuned for updates and pictures.
