4 Months Old

Four Months... wow. Taylor is becoming more and more of a little person with her own (some times very strong) personality! When I think about the last month I can't help but mention our complete lack of sleep. Taylor has decided that she prefers getting all of her calories in the middle of the night. She has no interest in eating much during the day but once the sun sets , boy, she is ready to go and wants to eat every two hours or so. I think I am getting less sleep now then when she was a newborn and I certainly have less adrenaline! On a positive note, every morning Mike goes to get her and brings her in to our bed. Even after the hardest night, when I hear her over the monitor, cooing and ahhing to him when he says good morning to her and then when I see her smiling face in his arms I feel revived! She is so pleasant in the morning and talks so much that she can make even the most tired person feel ready to party! We have experienced lots of "phases" with Taylor so I am hoping that this is just another one and soon she will be back to her old sleeping self!

Aunt Jen and Uncle Dave's Wedding

After 8 years Aunt Jen and Uncle Dave are married! The bride was beautiful, the groom handsome, and the day couldn't have been more perfect! Here are some highlights...

Jen looked amazing! Taylor was happy to pose with her!

Thank goodness that Maddie was there to help

Some cuddle time with Mommy after a long day! It was good for both of us!

Today we spent the afternoon at Dave'e parents house. It was a nice relaxing day. Taylor was able to spend some time with the newlyweds!

Holding on!

Taylor is really getting to love her hands and all that she can do with them beside chew them. She likes to hold on to her toys and she has started reaching for her toes. I have no doubt that these too will be in her mouth soon.

Teething??

Taylor has always liked putting her fingers in her mouth. She used to just put one or two fingers of one hand in while rubbing the back of her head with the other hand and it seemed to relax her. Recently this has changed and she has started shoving both hands in her mouth, gnawing away at them, and drooling like crazy. Today I noticed little bruises on two of her fingers where she apparently chewed a little too hard. I am not sure if this is the start of teething or just her exploring but tonight she had a low fever and a runny nose. Does this mean no sleep?

Why bruise my fingers when I can chew on Mommy's?

Swimming

We went to Ashlynne's sister's house Wednesday to go swimming. Taylor had a brand new bathing suit, swimming diapers, and a sunhat... we were prepared, however despite the preparation she wasn't a big fan and we only got to break in the hat. I dipped her toes in and she didn't seem to enjoy it. The water may have been for bit chilly for her and she does not like to be cold. We will try again soon!
It was so nice to hang out by the pool and Taylor loved watching Katie, Robbie, Nolan, Ashlynne, and Matt swimming. She is definitely entertained by other kids and whenever we are around Nolan she can't take her eyes off of him! He is a great little swimmer and I am sure next year he will be able to teach her a few things.
